I don't buy ore or silicone factores though since you can find that stuff almost anywhere real cheap. :)) I pretty much buy all the factories I need to make the highest level product so I buy all my cahoona factories as well as soja husts and soja beans. Though I like my Raster income much better. I sell raster oil in the bucket loads and nostrop oil as well. I produce my own energy and crystals so no funds lost there. So you can make an sell a LOT more of them. The high level shields don't have much cargo space at thess docks but 25mj shields do. Now I have HETP's and Phased Weapons but only because epuipment docks and outposts all over the place want them an restock ships with them. Best to get factories that sell to everyone everywhere. The problem you will find with most weapon factories is that merchant ships don't usually buy them and only outposts and equipment docks do. Remember there's weight and I forget how much 1 weed weighs but I think you'll need an extra 100 cargo bay slots open. Don't transport it yourself or the cops will getcha but have one of your fast ships with 100 extra cargo bay slots to carry it. Thas for 1 weed I can carry a lot more and sell about 20 a load for 100,000k profit. HEPT and Phased Weapons are what I sell with 25mj Shields, Drones, Weed, Nav Relay Satelites, Laser Towers, computer components, micro chips, did I mention weed? ) I make a ton of money selling weed to Pirates at top prices nearly 5000 a weed unit. I always like to get a feel for how a complex is generating income before setting it to deposit automatically. And before someone asks me to check to see if the complex is automatically sending credits above xxx,xxx direct to my account, it is set not to do that. There is room for 3 more 1 mj factories but I haven't yet decided if the market will bear more at the moment. But it hasn't taken off like I assumed it would.Ĭomplex details: 1 large cattle ranch, 1 large cahoona bakery, 1 large ore mine (75 yield), 2 1 mj shield factories There will always be fluctuations as the station suppliers purchase energy cells. It has been running for a while and I have seen its on-hand money reserves go as high as 600,000 and they are now down around 350,000. However, I have had this complex up a running for a bit now and it is always selling its stock yet is not making money. I thought I had read it was still an excellent choice in TC. In short, setting up a small 1 MJ complex (only needs energy shipped in) made money hand over fist in Reunion. I later on got bored of manual trading and got a TP with a Jumpdrive to do NPC Passenger/Military Transport missions (which paid millions and took ~8-12 minutes to do with the ranks & reputation I had at the time). To put it briefly, I am a new player to TC though I was able to get pretty far in Reunion. And some in Ore around Ore Belt and the nearby Cloudbase. I remember when I started out I did some small trading between Power Circle and Kingdom end in Silicon and Energy cells. Most stations use food (BoFu, Meatsteak Cahoona, depending on the race) and energy (unified), and it's fairly easy to find buyers for those. In short, acquaint yourself with the products and resources of stations. You already spent 6 hours- with however much money, I'm not sure. Maybe you don't need to start over again. I listened to that cdr guy but I found it slow as hell only using one ship Gswarriors2011 a écrit :Can you guys tell me more sectors that are good places to trade? I decided I will start over and play the merchant again but this time doing your way in the second post. Once you have more $$, set up a 1MJ shiled factory or complex in Argon Prime which will sell really well.īE sure to watch CDRDave's x3 tutorial series on youtube for great hints, tips, pointers, gameplay mechanics, etc. BE SURE YOUR TRADERS HAVE FULL SHIELDS AND A JUMP DRIVE so they can escape if/when atttacked.ħ. Start them in empires edge in paranid space ot the south of argon space which is a great starting out point for sector traders. Once you get enough money, buy mark 3 trade software for your traders. Repair all ships you purchase, selling fighters and stuff and keeping traders (make them manual traders) and continue to trade ore, energy etc.Ħ. Be on the lookout for orange $ signs, the ones that are aliens selling ships can sometime be huge deals. Plus they help you explore more of the x-verse.ĥ. They are easy, fairly quick and once you get higher ranks can pay a ton of profittss. Use your discoverer, purchase a mineral scanner and start doing asteroid scan missions.
